Supply Chain Manager-D365 AWMS & Warehouse Operations
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, transfers, picking, dispatch, returns, adjustments, and stock counts.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock reconciliations, audits, and exception management.
- Manage warehouse layouts, storage locations, bin structures, and stock handling procedures.
- Maintain strict controls over fibre, wireless, network infrastructure, and project-related inventory.
- Ensure accurate tracking and control of serialized and high-value assets.
- Drive warehouse process improvements and operational efficiencies.
D365 AWMS Ownership & Governance
- Act as the business owner for warehouse and inventory processes within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (SCM).
- Ensure compliance with all D365 AWMS transaction processes.
- Manage and improve:
- Item master data
- Warehouse locations
- Transfer orders
- Stock issues and returns
- Inventory adjustments
- Cycle counts
- Mobile scanning processes
- Inventory reporting
- Ensure inventory movements are accurately reflected in D365 at all times.
- Work closely with IT, Finance, Operations, and external consultants on D365 enhancements and process improvements.
- Participate in AWMS testing, UAT activities, continuous improvement initiatives, and future automation projects.
- Support user training and adoption of D365 warehouse processes.
Technician & Virtual Warehouse Management
- Manage boot stock and virtual warehouse processes for technicians and field teams.
- Ensure stock allocations, transfers, replenishments, and consumption are accurately managed.
- Develop controls around technician stock accountability and visibility.
- Implement reporting and governance around mobile warehouse operations.
Logistics & Distribution
- Coordinate the movement of materials between warehouses, projects, and operational teams.
- Ensure timely delivery of stock to project sites and field operations.
- Monitor logistics performance and implement improvement plans where required.
- Manage transport providers and distribution partners where applicable.
- Minimize stock losses, delivery delays, and stock shortages.
Procurement & Supplier Coordination
- Collaborate with Procurement to support forecasting and replenishment planning.
- Monitor stock availability against project requirements.
- Ensure accurate receipt and processing of purchased inventory.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and performance management practices.
- Assist in managing critical stock levels and long lead-time materials.
Reporting & Analytics
- Produce and review inventory, warehouse, and operational performance reports.
- Monitor and report on:
- Stock accuracy
- Inventory variances
- Stock turn ratios
- Slow-moving stock
- Obsolete inventory
- Warehouse performance metrics
- Leverage D365 reporting, Excel, and Power BI to provide operational insights.
- Present performance updates and recommendations to management.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency and warehouse productivity.
- Implement best-practice warehouse and inventory management processes.
- Drive process standardization and compliance across business units.
- Develop policies, procedures, and training materials for warehouse operations.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant Supply Chain or Inventory Management certification advantageous.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supply chain, warehouse, logistics, or inventory management role.
- Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (SCM).
- Demonstrated experience with Advanced Warehouse Management Systems (AWMS).
- Experience managing warehouse operations in a high-volume environment.
- Experience managing teams and driving operational performance.
- Strong inventory control and stock management experience.
