Key Performance Objectives

  • coordinate incoming and outgoing inventory deliveries
  • assign delivery/pickup stations
  • oversee and assist with the loading and unloading of deliveries
  • allocate and organize storage locations according to requirements
  • sort inventory according to established procedures
  • mark inventory with identifying information
  • update and maintain storage database
  • track and manage inventory by completing regular cycle counts

  • provide regular inventory reports to management
  • pick and prepare orders to be shipped
  • ensure proper packaging and labeling of shipments
  • ensure shipping counts match the order documents
  • process and provide necessary paperwork for shipments
  • coordinate delivery sequence according to orders and balancing weight for appropriate delivery vehicle
  • process and coordinate customer returns
  • receive and verify accuracy of incoming inventory
  • resolve any discrepancies between paperwork and inventory received
  • inspect and ensure quality of incoming inventory

Qualifications

  • Matric
  • Relevant Diploma/Certificate

Experience

  • 2 – 4 years’ inventory control experience
  • Excellent computer skills and the appropriate software and MS Office
  • Excellent communication skill, both verbal and written
  • Able to safely use warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.

 

Technical Support Analyst (TSA)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Support:
    • Provide remote technical assistance to technicians by receiving, logging, resolving, and closing support tickets across various platforms and technologies.
    • Analyze and convert loop traces to facilitate troubleshooting and resolution.
  2. User Communication:
    • Manage user expectations and ensure effective communication throughout the support process, providing timely updates on ticket status.
  3. Support Management:
    • Oversee SDM updates, source relevant support systems (Q-base, CRM-DFA), and manage the posting of all tickets in designated WhatsApp groups.
    • Document and close all resolved tickets, actions, and solutions within the SDM system.
    • Create and maintain internal information tracing sheets to enhance support processes.
  4. Health & Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the support team, promoting a safe working environment.
  5. HR Management:
    • Manage the HR aspects of the technical support team, including overseeing overtime, leave requests, and team performance.
    • Foster a positive team environment by addressing personnel issues and supporting team development.
  6. Process Improvement:
    • Follow and actively seek to improve existing TSA support processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  7. Collaboration:
    • Work collaboratively with external teams to improve service delivery and support for technicians.
  8. Customer Interaction:
    • Deliver outstanding customer service through various channels, including phone, email, and chat.
    • Escalate complex issues to relevant teams or senior technicians for resolution.
  9. Professional Standards:
    • Maintain high standards of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
  10. Standby and Shift Management:
    • Manage TSA lists related to weekly standby night shifts and day shifts.
    • Gather and provide feedback related to all support groups.

Qualifications:

  • Matric or Equivalent

Job Requirements:

  • Strong technical background in FTTB / FTTH telecom systems and support platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • Technical experience in FTTB/FITH
  • Proven experience in customer service and technical support environments.
  • Familiarity with relevant support systems (SDM, Q-base, CRM-DFA, PowerBi) is a plus.
  • Willingness to work night shifts and overtime as required to support the technical team and maintain service levels.
  • Computer Literate – Proficient with Microsoft Packages, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Must have previous work experience within a Fiber Network Environment
  • Required to work extended hours and on weekends and public holidays should the need arise due to operational requirements
  • Clear and Concise communication related to customer/internal meetings inclusive of email communication.

Wireless Hybrid Technician

Key Performance Objectives

Wireless Responsibilities:

  • Interface with coordinators, management, Logistics to manage the work successfully
  • Ensure a high quality of workmanship includes:
    • Installation (Radio’s, antenna’s, router and other devices)
  • Fault finding and resolving faults. (Maintenance)
  • Conduct Site surveys
  • Ensure accurate documentation of planning surveys
  • Mange site materials and deliverables
  • Daily Adherence to administrative duties (including timesheet submission, project feedback, material control and expenditure control)

Fibre Responsibilities:

  • Identification of weak spots in the network that are high risk
  • Protect weak spots until it can be rectified, not allowing access
  • Rectify/ remedy cutting over cables and/or cutting in new joints
  • Maintain shortest timelines between temporary and permanent repairs
  • Perform splicing and repairs on optical cables
  • Perform a variety of tasks including operating tools and equipment used for installation and testing of fiber optic networks.

Transmission Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of fibre networks and transmission equipment
  • Perform Remote Hand Support (RHS)
  • Familiar with the use of various test equipment, e.g. OTDR, Transmission Analyzers, Optical power meters, etc.
  • Systems level trouble shooting on fiber optic telecommunications transmission equipment

Qualification

  • Matric
  • Fibre Optic Association (FOA) certified
  • Minimum qualification is a National diploma N6, S4, T3 in electrical light-current/electronics engineering or similar
  • DWDM certification is an advantage
  • Radwin/Huawei or any other Radio training
  • Any technical tertiary qualification is advantageous

Experience:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in telecommunication roles,
  • Experience in Wireless, Fibre maintenance and Transmission.
  • Radio frequency (RF) installation work experience a must, preferably within the GSM industry
  • Knowledge of Optical test instruments, Transmission devices and configurations.
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Computer literate
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experienced in compiling reports and diagnosis of faults
  • Technical knowledge of DWDM based optical transmission systems
  • Extensive experience in transmission equipment, fibre optic splicing and testing.

Job Requirement

 Must be able and willing to do standby

  • Health and Safety on site and adherence to the law regarding Health and Safety
  • Sound understanding of DWDM, SDH transmission systems
  • Experienced in compiling reports and diagnosis of faults
  • Familiar with the use of various test equipment, e.g. OTDR, Transmission Analyzers, Optical power meters, etc.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and learn the use of new test equipment
  • Knowledge of computers and data communications. IP network experience a plus
  • Daily Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification
  • Submit of all fault reports and inspections done
  • To comply with any further instructions or requirements of a reasonable nature that may be given by senior management from time to time
